Essex Island Marina Links
The Connecticut River Valley has a rich blend of history, culture, environmental landscapes, and good old New England
hospitality that will compliment the time you spend on our waters and on our shores. It is only fitting that the
Nature Conservancy has appointed the Lower Connecticut River Valley “One of the Last Great Places.”
Following you will find links for additional information about the area:
Essexct.com
- the official web site of the Essex Board of Trade. A complete guide for the Essex Township that includes a historic
walking tour, a calendar of events, restaurants, inns, shops, services, and some local color.
Lighthouse Maps
- an on-line version of the Essex map distributed to our Guests upon arrival. This site provides a thorough reference
of the area and also provides information for Old Saybrook, Westbrook, and Clinton.
Connecticut's Heritage River Valley
has information about things to do and places to see all along the Connecticut River from the Massachusetts border to
Long Island Sound.
Connecticut Vacation Guide
is available online from the Connecticut Office of Tourism. Request a copy of the guide or check out the travel
highlights they have assembled.
Connecticut State Parks
are maintained by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. This very informative site is an excellent
guide to the facilities in our county, including Gillette’s Castle. (Links to other parts of the state are also
available through this site.)
